About

About No New Degree

If you are in your 20s, 30s, or 40s and you feel stuck at work, No New Degree is for you.

You want better pay. You want more control over your time. You want work that does not drain you.
But you do not want to hit reset on your life and go back for a four year degree.

I built this site for people in that exact spot.

Why this site exists

Most career advice assumes you have:

– Time to go back to school
– Savings to live on while you study
– Energy to start completely over

A lot of people do not have that.

You might have a family. You might have a mortgage. You might already be exhausted from the job you want to leave.

Starting college again is not realistic for you. But staying stuck is not an option either.

No New Degree exists to fill that gap.

This site is about practical career upgrades:
Real paths, real training options, and real tradeoffs…
without pretending you can magically rewrite your entire life overnight.

What I actually do here

On No New Degree, I:

– Break down different career paths that do not require a new degree
– Explain the pros and cons in plain language
– Help you understand what skills you already have that still matter
– Show you different types of training (bootcamps, certificates, short programs, trades, online courses)
– Point you toward programs and resources that might fit your situation

I am not here to hype you into quitting your job tomorrow.

I am here to help you make **better decisions** about your next move.

What this site is not

To keep things clear:

No New Degree is not:

– A promise of a specific salary or job
– A replacement for professional career counseling
– Financial advice
– A guarantee that “anyone can do anything”

Career change is still work. It takes time, effort, and sometimes some risk.
This site is meant to give you better information so you can choose your path with open eyes.

How this site makes money

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links.

That means if you click a link and later enroll in a program or buy a course, this site may earn a commission.
It does not cost you anything extra.

I only want to recommend programs and resources that:

– Have a clear, realistic outcome
– Do not require a new four year degree
– Look like they could be a good fit for people in their 20s, 30s, or 40s who are changing direction later in life

If something feels too hypey or misleading, I am not interested in it.

How to use No New Degree

You do not need to read everything at once.

A simple way to use this site is:

1. Start with the main guide:
“How to Change Careers in Your 30s and 40s Without Going Back to School”
2. Notice which paths feel most interesting or realistic for you
3. Read a few more guides on those specific paths
4. When something clicks, look at the training options and next steps

You do not have to figure out your forever career.
You just need a better next chapter than the one you are stuck in now.

A quick note from me

I believe:

– You are not “too late”
– Your past experience still counts
– You can build a better work life without starting college all over again

No New Degree will not make the decision for you.
But it will give you clearer information, grounded options, and a calmer way to think about career change.

If that helps you take even one small step out of feeling stuck, this site is doing its job.
